Third Internal Meeting of ICC Iran Customs and Trade Commission’s Commercial Facilitation Working Group
ICC Iran Customs and Trade Commission’s Commercial Facilitation Working Group held its third Internal Meeting virtually under the leadership of “Mr. Mahmoud Rostam Afshar – ICC Iran Customs and Trade Commission Secretary” and in the virtual presence of the members of ICC Iran Customs and Trade Commission’s Working Group on Aug 28 2021.
The above-mentioned working group that is an ICC Customs and Trade Commission’s subset, was created for trade facilitation and ICC NCs cooperation for cross-border trade facilitation among MENA region countries.
At the beginning of the meeting, the members reviewed the daily important news related to the commission and then discussed about the following issues:

The need to review and solve some border customs problems, considering the high potential of export opportunities of Iran

Issues related to transit risks of goods for export

Paying more attention to mining industry, considering a high potential of export in this sector to increase export and economic development

The need to increase the cooperation with neighboring countries in order to benefit from commercial opportunities and active presence in the world competitive markets

Updates on Dubai EXPO issues

Identifying commercial exportable/importable products to neighboring countries and paying attention to the subject of commercial cargos transit

The need to eliminate intermediaries in commodities export/import procedures.
