The launch took place during the13th World Chambers Congress. The network aims to provide guidance to SMEs and entrepreneurs on intellectual property issues by including the WIPO IP Diagnostics Tool as the go-to resource.
Interested national committees and chambers of commerce will be able to expand their services and offer to beneficiaries the resources they need for managing their innovation, protecting their intellectual property (IP), and leveraging IP to grow their business.
By joining the IP for Entrepreneurs Network, National Chambers, Chambers of Commerce, and CoE Hubs will play an active role in disseminating valuable IP information created by WIPO. This ongoing support will integrate IP into the business strategies of entrepreneurs, encouraging them to utilize the IP system effectively and highlighting the tangible benefits it offers. Ultimately, this initiative aims to empower businesses and entrepreneurs to recognize and harness their IP as a valuable asset, leading to greater success.
During the three-day WCC, WIPO Experts attended the dedicated exhibition shell to present WIPOs tools and materials, as well as the IP for Entrepreneurs Network. Chambers of commerce from all regions of the world expressed keen interest in joining the WIPO – ICC-CoE initiative to offer IP support to their beneficiaries, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
