ICC and the Chamber of Commerce and Production of Santo Domingo (CCPSD) have established an ICC Centre of Entrepreneurship in the Dominican Republic, aiming to promote the participation of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in international trade.
The launch in Santo Domingo responds to the CCPSD’s ambition to promote activities that contribute to the Dominican Republic’s business growth. This brings the total number of ICC Centre of Entrepreneurship worldwide to fifteen, since first launching in Istanbul in 2020.
“We are excited to announce the expansion of our ICC Centre of Entrepreneurship network to now include the Dominican Republic. Together, with the Santo Domingo Chamber of Commerce, we aim to ignite greater global market participation among SMEs and pave the way for growth opportunities,”
said ICC Secretary General John W.H. Denton AO.
ICC Centre of Entrepreneurship
The ICC Centre of Entrepreneurship works closely with chambers of commerce around the world to expand their networks and offer global training, virtual mentoring and coaching, with the objective of inspiring entrepreneurship, digitizing SMEs and improving their global competitiveness.
The first Centre of Entrepreneurship was launched in Istanbul with ICC Turkey and the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey in 2020, followed by the establishment of centers in: Accra, Beirut, Buenos Aires, Bogota, Casablanca, Jakarta, Lagos, Nairobi, Seville, Ukraine, Tbilisi and Moldova.
