Considering the significance of cryptocurrencies in the future of country’s economic situation and study of related issues to this area, ICC Iran held a meeting under the leadership of “Dr. Mohammad Khazaee”-ICC Iran Secretary General- on June 9 2021.
ICC Iran Digital Economy and Banking Commissions’ Secretaries, relevant Commissions of Iran and Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, Representatives from Governmental Organizations and Institutes such as Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance, Iran Central Bank, Private Sector and some Experts from “CITEX Company” participated in the above-mentioned meeting.
The main objective of the meeting was to study and discuss the usage of cryptocurrencies and block-chains in financial and commercial process.
Meanwhile, the participants discussed the problems and concerns of domestic private sector in the context of cryptocurrencies, financial systems and related transfers.
Emphasizing the need for cooperation with ICC for facilitating international trade, participants underscored the coordination of domestic Chambers of Commerce in order to solve private sector’s problems.
