ICC Iran held the Ninth Meeting of its Liaison Representatives Virtually

ICC Iran held its Ninth Meeting of ICC Liaison Representatives on August 16, 2022.

 

At the beginning of this meeting, ICC Iran Secretary-General- “Mr. Mohammad Khazaee,” presented a report on the ICC Iran major measures and the landscape of future relevant activities.

 

While pointing out the ICC Iran recent measures on ICC Agri-Food Hub scheme, especially holding meetings with the presence of partners and companies in agriculture and food sectors, he called for more partnership of domestic chambers of commerce and asked them to introduce affiliated Agri-Food companies to this committee to join the Hub.

 

“Khazaee” stated that, the ICC Iran Agri-Food Hub would be inaugurated with the presence of relevant stakeholders, Iran and other domestic provinces chambers by ICC Iran Committee.

 

Explaining the requirements of ICC Iran activities, he emphasized the importance of Chambers’ active role in expanding and strengthening cooperation with Paris and their feedbacks on the relevant issues.

 

During the above-mentioned meeting, Mr. Khazaee pointed out the subject of the upcoming ICC- WCF General Counsel election and the necessity of participation of ICC chambers of commerce members in the voting process.

 

Meanwhile, the issue of the ability to track the Iranian legal cases in ICC court, as well as, the ICC events in climate changes sector, were brought up during the meeting. Some correspondences in this regard have been submitted to Chambers by ICC Iran.

 

Afterwards, the Director General of Foreign Direct Investment of the Organization for Investment Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran explained the importance of investment and foreign trade and the effective role of private sector in this context.

 

In the end, it was decided that next week another virtual meeting would be held with the presence of ICC Iran liaison representatives. The representatives of Chambers will bring up their important issues with ICC in this meeting.
