ICC Iran Trade and Investment Commission Meeting

ICC Iran Trade and Investment Commission held a virtual meeting under the leadership of “Dr. Ahmad Jamali” as the ICC Iran Trade and Investment commission Secretary on August 9, 2021.

 

During the meeting, reports on global investment in 2021 and investment in sustainable recovery, foreign direct investment flows and Iran’s foreign investment during the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action period and after that were presented.

 

Following the above issues, some subjects such as: the role of technology diplomacy in the development of investment and international trade, transformation process of the complexity ranking of the economy in some countries were studied as well as a comparison between the export transformation in Iran and South Korea. In addition, issues related to Iran export in diverse commodity groups were discussed.

 

The commission members discussed the 11 guidelines and strategic plans of ICC Iran Trade and Investment Commission as follows: providing roadmap, playing effective role in international collaborations, recovery of business atmosphere, promoting investment, facilitating and promotion of investment, development of finance and value chains, development of entrepreneurship and supporting startups, knowledge promotion, development and facilitation of system communications, national branding, promoting arbitral system and dispute resolution and providing the latest report regarding researches in investment and trade published by ICC.

 

Meanwhile, the Commission members decided to bring up their suggestions and opinions on guideline plans for future studies, in the next meeting.

 

Moreover, the commission’s training programs for the current year were reviewed and approved.

 

At the closing of the session, the ICC guidelines for implementation of marketing and advertising criteria regarding environmental issues were reviewed and commission’s Secretary requested the members to express their opinions on the above-mentioned subject. The collected comments will be submitted to ICC.
