From May to October 2022, ICC Germany is organizing the ICC Arbitration Forum together with the ICC International Court of Arbitration, partners and national and international experts to discuss current issues surrounding the sustainability and efficiency of international arbitration proceedings and promote Germany as a place of arbitration.
International arbitration offers its users a flexible dispute resolution tool that allows parties to tailor the procedures to their individual needs. If parties, legal representatives and arbitrators agree on efficient procedural management, time- and cost-efficient dispute resolution can be ensured. In the absence of such an understanding, arbitration proceedings can also quickly drag on and costs escalate.
After the opening event on 30 May, a series of international workshops will follow between June and October on current issues and pressing questions in international arbitration like arbitration in international supply chains, the efficiency of arbitration in international energy and infrastructure projects, investor-state arbitration and finally, prevention through mediation.
