ICC Dispute Resolution Services has launched a partnership with universities in Brazil, China, Kenya, Qatar, and Chile to enhance arbitration education.
The collaboration aims to enhance arbitration know how across a broad range of jurisdictions globally. The initiative will also provide a platform for academic leaders and experienced practitioners to exchange insights and best practices in dispute resolution.
The ICC International Arbitration Module will initially be rolled out at Wuhan University (China), Universidade de São Paulo (Brazil), Hamad Bin Khalifa University (Qatar), the University of Nairobi (Kenya), and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (Chile), with more institutions expected to join in the coming months. While traditional academic programs tend to focus on theoretical legal frameworks, the ICC Arbitration Module will add a practical, hands-on element. The curriculum includes real-world case scenarios, practical exercises and specialized publications designed to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
The International Arbitration Module reflects ICC’s commitment to supporting the next generation of legal practitioners to enhance their skills as dispute resolution professionals. ICC also provides advanced training opportunities for professionals through the ICC Institute Advanced Trainings and the Advanced Arbitration Academy.
