Former Chair of ICC Ajay Banga has officially been elected to serve as the new President of the World Bank.
Ajay served as ICC Vice-Chair and ICC Chair from 2018-2020 and 2020-2022 respectively and now serves as ICC Honorary Chair.
Reacting to this week’s news, John Denton described Ajay as: “A perfect choice to lead the Bank in the face of many challenges confronting the global economy – from climate change to debt instability. A true leader with a genuine commitment to make the world a better place.
