The 2020 ICC World Council has formally voted in new members of the ICC Chairmanship and Executive Board.
Ajay Banga, CEO of Mastercard becomes ICC Chair with immediate effect and Maria Fernanda Garza, CEO of Orestia becomes the first woman First Vice-Chair of our organisation. I congratulate both Ajay and Maria and look forward to working more closely with them during their respective terms.
After two years as ICC Chair, Paul Polman takes up his new role as ICC Honorary Chair, while Sunil Bharti Mittal leaves the Chairmanship after seven years of service and exemplary leadership.
The World Council meeting also saw the election of the following seven ICC Executive Board members – strengthening our leadership at the highest level with augmented geographic, ethnic and gender diversity.
